Entreprenuership Story
Ever since I was little, I had the desire to own a business of some sort. As a grew up, I made a conscious
effort to think of how I could align my passions with the type of business I wanted
to create. Out of all the passions I have developed over the years, one that I felt
resonated the most with me was the importance of self-care. I wanted my
business to be centered around the idea of self-care. Luckily, I came across a
young lady, She‘Neil Johnson, who shared the same passion. She used this
passion to her advantage and decided to create her own skincare company called
BASE BUTTER. BASE BUTTER is an all-natural skin care essentials that inspire
women of color to protect their skin while loving the skin they are in. This is
essentially her way of promoting the importance of self-care. She also
co-founded a non-profit called HER SUCCESS that encourage women to pursue their
dreams while expanding their brand. Her dedication to pursue her passions while
encouraging others to purse theirs is truly inspiring. With that being said, the reason I decided to
take ENT3003 is because I know Dr. Pryor has great knowledge to share about
what entrepreneurship really looks like in the real world. I am intrigued to hear
stories about entrepreneurs who have been successful and unsuccessful. In
addition to that, I hope to learn the challenges and benefits that entrepreneurs
face on a daily basis. I believe that what I learn in ENT3003 will help me with
my future endeavors.
P.s : I also hope to learn how to spell “entrepreneurship” without missing up the spelling of it.

I've actually heard about this product line. All natural products are a huge craze right now. Even though many of these type of products have been a round for quite some time, they're finally getting recognition and people are willing to pay the price for things without all the chemicals in them.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have someone like that to learn from and hear their trials and tribulations with entrepreneurship. You can learn what to do and what not to do, gather inspiration and guidance. I hope you find a way to make your own success.
Hi Jess,
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to hear that you have found an entrepreneurial inspiration. I agree that self care is something that is really important in this day in age. With the rise of social media and Photoshop, it can be hard for women to appreciate the skin they are in. I hope you take you passion to the next level and inspire people to do so as well!
It’s great that you met someone in your life that provides a good example of what entrepreneurship is and shared the struggles and successes she had in her product. I agree why you took this class, as it will provide us with a great understanding of entrepreneurship. One thing that suck out is you will hope to spell entrepreneurship one day. I feel the same way!! I feel I am copy and pasting it each time I need to write it. We will hopefully be able to spell it by the end of the semester!
ReplyDeleteYour entrepreneurship story is so inspiriting! I love how she found her passion and chased her dreams and became successful in doing what she loved. I also was inspired by hearing that she continued her success in staring a non-profit. That is definitely something I aspire to do someday. You have an incredible opportunity to learn more in this class and I hope you enjoy finding the ins and outs of true entrepreneurship and use if for your future success
ReplyDeleteJess, it is clear that you are a very motivated and passionate person when it comes to entrepreneurship. She'Neil's story is one that can be useful for you throughout your future career in business; having her as an example to model your own business decisions can help you accomplish your dreams.
