19 A - Idea Napkin No. 2
Second Shot at Idea Napkin No.2
1) Who am I?
My name is Jessilyn Boakye-Donkor. I am currently a third year undergraduate student at the University of Florida. I have always had interest in working in the technology industry. Over the years, I have seen how impactful the growth in technology has had on our society today. Technology has made it easier for society to live more efficiently and safely; moreover, two things that I believe are important for growth. My skills include being efficiency, and strategic.
2) What are you offering to customers?
It is difficult to see sides of your windows when driving; therefore, I came up with a product to combat that issue. I am offering a way for individuals to drive safely when it rains. On my Idea Napkin No.1 , I stated that I would create window wipers for the car. Similar to how windshield wipers work, window wipers would do the same. However, after reading my feedback, I realized that this product might actually be more dangerous than beneficial because of how distracting it could be. Therefore, creating a product that would prevent the rain from sticking to the windows when it raid would be better. One of the feed back I received stated that maybe creating something like rainx but for the windows. Though I still want to keep my idea of window wipers, I would like to include a product like rainx ( I will call it windx) but just for the windows.
2) Who are you offering it to?
I still offering this product to individuals that live rainy cities like Gainesville and Seattle. With this product, there are no specific demographic or psychographic characteristic.
4) Why do they care?
It will definitely make it easier for individuals to drive. There have been many accidents that occur on the road because individuals can not see well when driving in the rain. Therefore, this product will enable individuals such as students , parents, and truck drivers to remain safe when it rains.
5) What are your core competencies?
I still think that no one has explored the idea of window wipers; therefore, making this product still very unique. I also like that the product comes in conjunctions with the windx. This allows the driver to choose which product they feel is more convenient for them. I also like that my target audience is much larger than before.
Feedback memo
It was really nice to hear the feedback from my classmates. It gave me a clarity on how my product will be perceived by others as well as whether or not, it was feasible. One feedback stated that though my idea was good theoretically , in reality it might be a distraction for the driver. However, they suggested that creating a product like rainx would be better. With this feedback, I decide create windx ( a product that would cause the rain to slide off instead of sticking on the window) but still keep my window shield wiper idea.
