3. Interviews:
- Miles is a resident of Alachua county and lives on the east side of Gainesville. He agrees that reducing the prices of the product even lower than what I consider for a typical college student would beneficial.
- My second interviewee wanted to remain anonymous but she stated that possibly giving free samples to the community so that people can test it out first would be a good idea. She stated that people are money conscious in her area; therefore, this option meets where they are at.
4. Reflection:
I think it was a good exercise to consider a new market especially one that I should have but did not spend enough thinking about. It was good get a better perspective on how I could serve both communities equally. I personally value the safety of others over the prices of the product, therefore, I would consider lowering the price even more so that I can reach the whole community instead of type of market. I think that both markets are equally attractive.
Hi Jess,
ReplyDeleteThis assignment was really good to help get you thinking outside the box for a completely different market. Your feedback on your existing market can help you expand for sure and I also enjoyed Evans feedback. I understand your dilemma with the new market as my product attracts the affluent part of society as well. I think viewing their perspective can really help your product grow in the future.
Hello Jess, I liked how you got advice from the people you interviewed. I liked especially the idea of running a poll to see what people would be interested in your product. With the poll, you could get an idea of the cost consumers are willing to pay. Having information secessions could help with getting people to understand what your product actually does.
