30 A - Final Reflection

Image
Finish Line!! 1) The high of this semester is definitely submitting the assignments on the blog post. It made me feel as if I was a blogger. I enjoyed being creative with my blog designs. I would say that it definitely made the class more engaging. If there were any I disliked the most I would say the interview portion of some assignments. I felt that it was sometime repetitive and very time consuming even though I am aware of how beneficial it is. My low was definitely forgetting to upload my URL for one of the assignments that i spend hours doing but the high was that it became a learning experience for me.  2) The most formative experience is definitely the fact that we used a blog as a platform for submitting assignments. None of the classes at UF; thus; far have thought of such idea and I think that it is very unique. Also creating my business plan was really an eye opening experience for me. It was good to kinda work behind the scenes and see the fruition of my business...

29A - Venture Concept No. 2

Image
REVISED VENTURE CONCEPT 1) Disclaimer : I received positive feedback for my business venture concept so I decided to only tweak it a bit but pretty much keep everything the same. OPPORTUNITY  It seems that people tend to forget how to drive when it rains. This  usually stems from the fear of not being able to see what is ahead, behind, and side as they drive. Though half the battle is solved  with wind shield wipers for the front and back, the windows are still a problem. There is an opportunity to solve this problem by creating a product that will ensure that drivers ( customers) can see on the side of their windows as they drive. Therefore, there is a unmet need in regards to the safety of drivers who commonly drive in the rain. This need is most common in cities like Seattle, Washington,  Portland, Oregon or even in Gainesville, Fl that experience heavy rain all year round. The only demographic restriction to this opportunity is that it only applies to...

28A - My Exist Strategy

Strategy Strategy! 1) After doing extensive research and finalizing my marketing strategies, target marketing, and funding. My exist strategy is put all that research into reality. Intend to sell my business for as long as it demanded by my customers. Whether that be 1 year to 20 years. I am not too sure I will pass the business down to my family. Most likely, I will pass it down to  any business partners that are interested in continuing my business.  2) I chose to put a time-frame on my business because I knew that my particular business is definitely contingent on the demand on my customers. If my customers no longer feel the need for my business, I think that I will terminate the particular business and pay more attention something that customers are currently demanding. I chose to pass my business to close business partners instead of my family because they will be more knowledgeable about the business. I will be working close with them from the beginning so it o...

27A - Reading Reflection No. 3

Makers : The New Industrial Revolution 1) What was the general theme or argument of the book? - The rapid growth of technology specifically in digital world over the past few decades. Society love the idea of screens and making these have gone digitals. Companies and even consumers no longer have to be dependent or pay manufacturing companies for services. Anyone can basically use the advancement of the digital world as an advantage to express this business ideas.  2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? - For me personally, I find that the growth of the digital revolution allows me to think of the great opportunities that are presented to me as an entrepreneur. For instance,  I no longer have to spend tons of money to produce things but rather utilized this new "industrial revolution" to my advantage. It just reminds me that entrepreneurs should always be seeking to find ways to minimize costs while maximiz...

26 A - Celebrating Failure

Let's Fail, A lot! 1.  Specifically for this class I failed to upload my URL for two of the assignments even though uploaded the assignment on the blog. This was definitely an L ( loss) in my book because I actually did the assignment but I also blame myself for not being careful enough to check to see if I provided the URL. 2. . I normally do the assignments a day in advance so that if I miss anything I can catch it before hand. Unfortunately, that same week I had a lot going on in terms of school, work, and extracurricular activities so I waited till the day off to finish the assignments. I learned to take my time when I submit my assignments. Also I would say I need to learn to balance/manage my schedule a little bit better especially when I know the upcoming week is going to be busy. 3. Honestly, I was disappointed in myself because I should not have forgotten. I was being a little hard on myself at first because I never  thought I would al...

25 - What's Next?

What's Next? Existing Market : 1. The window shield wiper product is definitely a new idea; thus, there still is a lot of research and work to be done. Therefore, focusing on doing more research on where to get the product manufacture, and who my possible sellers could be. 2. Interviews :  Audrey mentioned that definitely doing research on how this product will be manufactured would be essential. Evan, a college student, stated that doing a poll to see if college students could afford the prices I was offering to them as well as giving them the options of creating their own prices. This will allow me to see which price range college students could actually afford. Megan stated it would be good to start working on different marketing ideas/techniques to grab the attention of your target audience. Targeting social media outlets for instance is a good place to start. Also having informational sessions for customers to attend to understand the purpose of the product mo...

This need is most common in cities like Seattle, Washington,  Portland, Oregon or even in Gainesville, Fl that experience heavy rain all year round. The only demographic restriction to this opportunity is that it only applies to those who are legally able to drive by age, but in general, there are no other restrictions in terms of race, gender, and sex. This opportunity is a start o...
