Second Shot at Idea Napkin No.2 1) Who am I? My name is Jessilyn Boakye-Donkor. I am currently a third year undergraduate student at the University of Florida. I have always had interest in working in the technology industry. Over the years, I have seen how impactful the growth in technology has had on our society today. Technology has made it easier for society to live more efficiently and safely; moreover, two things that I believe are important for growth. My skills include being efficiency, and strategic. 2) What are you offering to customers? It is difficult to see sides of your windows when driving; therefore, I came up with a product to combat that issue. I am offering a way for individuals to drive safely when it rains.  On my Idea Napkin No.1 , I stated that I would create window wipers for the car. Similar to how windshield wipers work, window wipers would do the same. However, after reading my feedback, I realized that this product might actually be...

Meet Jenny  Jenny is a 20 year old studying Environment Science at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington. Jenny currently drives a hybrid car ( she loves that this car is environmentally friendly). She enjoys running but dislikes that the rainy weather in Seattle stops her from doing so. Commonalities : Jenny and I both are college students that like to  avoid the rain when we can. I also believe that we both also care about the environment and try to find ways to improve/care for it.  I think these commonalities exist because I want to relate to my customers in some way; therefore, allowing me to best assist their needs.

17A - Elevator Pitch No.2

Elevator Pitch The Pitch :  https://youtu.be/bA9JDv6dnBo Reflection/ Changes : I think what stood out to me as important was capturing the audience's attention with a good start and a great ending. Therefore before starting this new elevation pitch, I tried to really capture the attention of the audience unlike my first time. Most of the feedback I received were positive but I got some  great ideas that I could add to my product such as an anti fog product. I tried to be more creative and extensive in describing my product this time around. I also tried to be more organized so I covered all the topics that I felt were important.

16A - What's your Secret Sauce?

Know Thyself 1) What makes me different? Faith/ Spirituality : My faith in God definitely influences a lot of the decisions I make in life. The two college students definitely stated that the price would matter then most then followed by the quality of the item. 14 A- Halfway Reflect

Image
Tenacity & Paying it Forward 1) Tenaciousness is a competency :  The trials and errors of this  class has allowed me to developed behaviors that I enabled me to keep up. For instance, I have found it helpful to read each assignment due that week, the Sunday before. By doing this, I can allocate the right about of time to each assignment. Some assignments take longer than others, so I found it wise to start on those first. Also, I try and do one assignment a day, so usually by Wednesday I have completed all the assignments. I leave Thursday & Friday for peer reviews. This way I do not have to worry about it during my weekends :) 2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude: Oh yes, there have definitely been some weeks were I felt like not submitting an assignment. Mainly because of my own procrastination or it had been a hectic week for me. In those moments, I try to remind myself that the assignments are not just beneficial in terms of my...

13A - Reading Reflection

Reading Reflection Coco Chanel by Lisa Chan ey What surprised you the most? It was interesting to see how much Gabrielle Chanel's childhood had such an impact on her. Both her parents left her siblings and her at different points of her life. Her mother's death and the lack of family support left Gabrielle distraught and scarred for most of her childhood. It was surprising to see that she would even pay people not to speak of her past in the public.  What about the entrepreneur did you most admire? I admire that despite her background, she still able to rise above it. Allowing her to become one of the most influential women of her time. Her journey is an encouragement other women who are trying to pursue the career of entrepreneurship especially in the retail/ fashion industry.  What about the entrepreneur did you  least  admire? Though I understand that her childhood took a huge toll on her life, I would have wished that she'd had be more honest with...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

12A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1 Pick a segment: The segment I want to focus on are teenagers including new drivers and college students. Studies show that teenagers are more likely to get into car accidents than adults; moreover, since this product is meant to increase the safety of drivers, I believe that targeting this group first would be perfect. It would hopefully lower the number of accidents. Interviews: It is evident that this need becomes more salient when it is storming outside while people are driving. I decided to interview a teenager from Tampa who just started driving. During the interview, she stated that this business concept would be beneficial. As a new driver,  she finds it difficult switching in and out of lanes when it rains because she can not see outside a window. This product would definitely combat that.  She stated that after being aware of this issue, she would probably talk to her parents about ways to combat this issue since they ar...

11 A. Idea Napkin No. 1 Who am I? My name is Jessilyn Boakye-Donkor. I am a third year undergraudate University of Florida, hoping to work in tech industry. The technology industry has grown significantly throughout the past few decades and has had huge impact on our society. I have always been an advocative for the growth in the technology industry. As population grows, we need to continue to advance as a society, therefore; technology enables us to do just that. What are you offering to customers? I am offering a way for individuals to drive safely during the rain. Similar to how we have windshield wipers for the front and back of cars, I believe that it is beneficial for window shield wipers for the windows. Living in a city that consistently rains, I find it hard to see on my side windows when it rains. It makes it difficult to switch lanes and know what is going on around my environment. The window shield wipers would help combat this problem. Who are you offe...
